Questions people ask us
Do you do small jobs, or only big builds?
Both. A steel in a wall, a garage conversion or the builder’s work before a new kitchen gets the same site visit and written quote as a full house. Small jobs fit between and around the bigger programmes, which is why we can usually give you a date.
Where do you work?
Our office is in Aintree, L9. Our main areas are Liverpool, Chester and Southport, and we cover Sefton, Knowsley, Wirral, St Helens and West Lancashire too.
Are you insured?
Yes: public liability, employers’ liability and a separate contract works all-risks policy. The certificates come with every quote.
How do payments work?
A written quote with the scope itemised, a small payment to secure the start date, then stages tied to dates on the programme. Anything extra is priced in writing before it is done and paid on completion of the phase it belongs to. We do not ask for large deposits.
Who will actually be on site?
Our own trades and long-standing subcontractors, with one site manager running the job. One of us is usually there, and on smaller jobs we visit to check the quality and aim for a no-snag finish. You deal with the two of us, not an account handler.
Do you handle planning and building control?
Yes. We check the permitted development rules for your address, arrange the architect and structural engineer where needed, notify building control and book the inspections. You get the completion certificate at the end.
