Liverpool is home. Our office is on Long Lane in Aintree, and most of the houses we own and have built are within a couple of miles of it: Walton, Fazakerley, Orrell Park and Aintree in L9, and Kensington in L6. We know the terraces and the semis round here, what is behind the plaster, and what Liverpool City Council’s building control and planning teams expect to see.

That matters more than it used to. The city’s Article 4 directions on HMOs are being extended in October 2026 and city-wide in October 2027, so anyone planning a conversion needs someone who has read the council report rather than guessed. For householder work — extensions, dormers, garages — the permitted development rules are unchanged and we check them for your address before quoting.
